“Ke sini maki mbak Lily, banyak yang ngumpul di sini teman-teman Pak Taufik dan teman-teman ex Maruki,” kata mbak Ita dengan suara bindeng. Kedengarannya seperti habis menangis. Hati saya tersentak, ini kenyataan bahwa Pak Taufik mantan pimpinan saya yang telah bersama kurang lebih 13 tahun berkumpul dalam satu perusahaan, yang sedang berada di RS Dadi Makassar dalam keadaan kritis akibat terpapar virus Covid-19.
Saya bergegas ke tempat yang disampaikan oleh Mbak Ita salah seorang mantan teman sekantor yang juga dekat dengan beliau.
Sambil mengendarai mobil, pikiran saya membawa ke kenangan-kenangan bersama beliau. Betapa banyak yang berbekas di hati dan ingatan. Semua berkumpul menyatu dan membuat saya merasakan kesedihan yang mendalam. Ya Allah sembuhkanlah beliau.
Namun doa dan harapan saya tidak diijabah oleh Allah. Maghrib dalam perjalanan pulang ke rumah, mbak Ita menelpon lagi. Kali ini disertai tangisan, “ Mbak Lily Pak Taufik sudah pergi..”
Saya terhenyak, seperti tidak bisa membedakan yang mana kenyataan yang mana khayalan. Walaupun di mulut saya mengucapkan Innalillahi wa innailahi rojiun, tapi saya belum sepenuhnya sadar atas apa yang saya ucapkan.
“Pak saya ikut ya, menghadap pak Menteri,” sedikit merengek
“Apa yang kau mau bilang? Jangko bikin malu-malu itu”, jawabnya, ciri khas beliau.
“Tenang maki pak, kasih ma kesempatan bicara saja, nanti saya yang menjelaskan keadaannya.”
Ini adalah salah satu dari kebaikan pak Taufik dalam membantu pekerjaan saya. Ketika saya kebingungan tidak bisa mendapatkan izin untuk pelabuhan terminal khusus yang terhambat, tanpa alasan yang jelas. Dengan kesempatan itu alhamdulillah, proses izin yang saya harapkan bisa berjalan mulus. Tidak pernah berhenti saya mengucap terima kasih ke beliau untuk bantuan-bantuan seperti ini.
Saya mengenal pak Taufik di Jakarta, saat itu sekitar tahun 1997 di saat akan memulai pabrik kayu yang menempatkan beliau menjadi pimpinan saya. Saya ingat pertama beliau mengedarai mobil Peugeot berwarna biru, saya diantar untuk mengurus fasilitas master list di Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal. Semua kita lakukan bersama untuk membangun perusahaan yang sekarang terletak di Kawasan Industri Makassar.
Bukan kali itu saja saya naik mobil milik pak Taufik. Ketika saya menikah di tahun 1998, mobil Mercedez Benz menjadi kendaraan yang saya gunakan di prosesi pernikahan tersebut. Keluarga beliau sudah seperti keluarga sendiri.
Bahkan pernah dan sangat jelas berbekas dalam ingatan ketika saya berbicara ke beliau tentang mobil Alphard yang dimilikinya. “Pak enak ya bapak punya Alphard, tapi lebih enak saya yang bisa menikmati tanpa harus memikirkan cicilannya,” saya mengucapkan sambil tertawa.
Kenangan terakhir bersama beliau ketika bertemu di Jakarta bulan April 2021 yang lalu. Seperti biasa saya semobil lagi dengan beliau. Saya juga sempat berkunjung ke kantor Perseroda sebelum beliau akhirnya berhenti menjadi Direktur. Di kantor tersebut saya bertemu dengan banyak teman-teman dari perusahaan sebelumnya. Bapak memang sangat memperhatikan teman-temannya. Tidak heran kalau beliau memiliki teman dari segala kalangan.
Covid ini jahat, banyak sekali orang-orang yang saya kenal akhirnya berpulang dengan tiba-tiba. Random pula. Sedihnya karena tidak menyangka Pak Taufik menjadi salah satu yang dipilih. Saya sedih dengan keadaan ini, sedih karena kehilangan sahabat, kehilangan orang yang selama ini banyak membantu saya. Saya sedih mengingat istri dan anak-anaknya, mengingat keluarga besarnya. Semoga mereka semua dapat menghadapi kenyataan yang bagi saya pun seperti ilusi.
