Sering bermasalah dengan tetangga? Memang bersosialisasi itu gampang gampang susah. Walaupun saya sebenarnya bukan orang yang sering berpindah-pindah, tetapi ada ada saja kejadian yang berhubungan dengan tetangga.

Saya pernah bercerita tentang kucing yang membuat saya kena marah oleh tetangga kosan. Tetapi sekarang mbaknya sudah jadi teman yang enak diajak bersapaan, padahal dulu juteknya minta ampun. Mungkin karena kesabaran yang saya miliki :p. Tapi itu benar, saya tidak menyambut permusuhan yang ditawarkan, saya berpikir dia masih muda dan belum mengerti  tentang manfaat bersosialisasi, dan Alhamdulillah sekarang kami berteman baik.

Tapi ada yang mungkin tidak bisa dihadapi dengan kesabaran, karena bukan (hanya) saya yang merasakan bahwa ini sudah keterlaluan. Tetangga saya sejak merenovasi rumah termasuk terasnya dengan sengaja meniadakan tempat sampahnya. Saya tidak paham maksudnya, jika berpikir jelek maka saya akan mengganggap mereka tidak mau ada kotoran di sekitar rumahnya. Parahnya tempat sampah kami yang jadi sasaran.

Saya sih tidak terlalu mengambil pusing, ya sudahlah tempat sampah memang fungsinnya menampung sampah. Tetapi kejadiannya tidak sesederhana itu. Teman yang menginap di rumah akhirnya membuat coretan kisah yang membekas menjadi dinding teras. Kenapa demikian?

Rumah saya tidak memiliki dinding di teras, tidak diperbolehkan oleh pengelola perumahan yang menginginkan suasana terbuka dan nyaman. Tetapi suatu waktu ada dinding yang menjulang di samping teras kami. Seperti lambang permusuhan. Akhirnya saya mencari tahu penyebabnya. Dari teman yang tinggal di rumah menyampaikan bahwa mungkin ada ketersinggungan dari empunya rumah sebelah yang ditegur ketika memuang sampah seenaknya di depan rumah kami. Mungkin beliau masih belum bisa menerima kritikan. Merasa siapa pun yang berkata tidak sesuai dengan keinginannya adalah ‘musuh’

Saat saya kembali ke rumah, beliau datang dan menjelaskan. Mungkin merasa tidak enak dengan saya. Tetapi alasan yang disampaikan berbeda. Beliau bilang di rumah sering ada anak-anak yang ngumpul, bertato dan suka ribut sampai tengah malam. Padahal kalau teman-teman datang itu sampai pagi 😀

Bahkan sempat katanya mendengar celetukan, “saya mau cari cewek yang punya mobil dan juga dokter”. Saya pikir beliau terlalu berhalusinasi. Kebanggaan terhadap cucunya yang memang dokter dan punya mobil bagus itu membuat proteksinya berlebihan, apalagi dengan pria bertato (?). Dan alasan ini yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan izin pada pengelola perumahan.

Mendengar penjelasan itu saya seperti biasa, iya iya saja. Saya memang tidak suka ribut. Mencoba memahami, beliau yang sudah lanjut dan sudah sulit untuk menerima pendapat atau perubahan.

Tetapi sekarang lain lagi masalahnya. Karena ada tembok yang dibuat sendiri olehnya, kami kadang kaget karena tiba-tiba ada buntelan sampah yang mendarat di tempat sampah dan tidak terlihat siapa yang membuangnya. Parahnya karena kami membuat teras sebagai tempat untuk menerima tamu.

Pagi ini sampah buntelan itu dikembalikan di depan rumahnya, saya sebenarnya memilih mengkomunikasikan ini secara baik-baik, tetapi karena saya jauh ya biar yang di rumah saja yang menyelesaikannya. Semoga masing-masing paham batasannya dan bisa saling menghargai. Permasalahan memang tidak bisa dihindari, tetapi yang penting adalah cara penyelesaiannya, kita tunggu saja kisah selanjutnya 🙂
