Saya gak ngerti, apa memang cerita Spider-man itu begitu-begitu saja? Temanya sama, selalu tentang dia yang ditinggalkan orangtuanya, diasuh oleh paman dan bibinya, mencari jati dirinya jadi Spider-Man, labil… berhenti jadi Spider-man, kemudian kembali lagi gara-gara disadarkan oleh quote. Selalu begitu…

Saya sampai harus menghapuskan bayangan Tobey Maguire menggantikannya dengan sosok Spider-Man terbaru ini, Andrew Garfield. Terus terang wajah si Andrew ini lebih cocok main film drama deh. Dikit-dikit nangis, dikit-dikit berlinang air mata. Mungkin karena kostum Spidey nya saja yang bikin dia kelihatan macho.

Yang baru dari film ini adalah musuh yang lebih canggih. Orang yang bisa menyatu dengan listrik. Si Harry, yang bukan lagi diperankan oleh James Franco, jadi manusia mutan gara-gara menyuntikkan gen laba-laba beracun ke dirinya sendiri. Film ini jadi lebih ke science-fiction. Memang sih kelihatan jomplang kalau jagoannya bisa semua sementara lawannya cuma penjahat jalanan atau pencuri-pencuri yang berkeliaran di New York.

Yang saya suka dari film ini memang terasa romantismenya. Mungkin perlu dihitung berapa kali Spider-man berciuman dengan Gwen Stacey, pacarnya yang selalu chic dalam berpakaian. Aksi heroic Gwen yang ingin membantu pacarnya juga mengesankan. Walaupun saya tidak yakin sebagai manusia punya keberanian seperti itu. Gwen akhirnya mengorbankan nyawanya. Kenyataan bahwa walaupun punya pacar super dia tetap saja manusia biasa.

Untuk hiburan bolehlah, tetapi saya tidak menganggap film ini asik. Cuma karena alasan penasaran dan tiket XXI di Kuningan City yang murah saya memilih menonton seorang diri. Padahal adegan ciumannya banyak.. Jadi kenapa mi?
