Itu kata pak Arif, supir kantor saat saya dalam perjalanan ke Bandara untuk melaksanakan tugas kantor. Rasis juga nih pikir ku. Saya selalu ngeri sama orang rasis, apalagi sebelumnya saya termasuk memenuhi kriteria yang dikatakannya itu.

Dulu juga saya korban pengganyangan pak, masih ingat saya waktu pintu dan jendela di rumah di Makassar itu pecah karena dilempari batu dari luar oleh orang orang yang sedang bergerombol dan meneriakkan kata kata yang membuat saya menyesal telah mendengarnya, menghasut yang lain dan memprovokasi mengajak untuk turut bersama. Waktu itu saya masih kecil dan dilingkupi dengan rasa ketakutan yang sangat besar. Sampai sekarang saya tidak akan bisa melupakan itu.

Tapi bu, sejak internet ada saya malah senang, kata pak Arif. Kenapa demikian pak? tanyaku penasaran. Saya berpikir tidak mudah meniadakan perasaan tidak suka terhadap ras dan agama tertentu jika bukan karena sesuatu yang besar.

Iya bu, kalau ada yang ngomong untuk menghasut saya langsung buka hape, buka internet terus mengecek kebenaran informasinya kan dengan itu kita bisa berpikir, mana yang pantas diikuti dan resiko resikonya, beda sama dulu bu. Apa yang dibilang pimpinan kelompok itulah kebenaran sejati, bahkan mati pun kami rela.

Awalnya keterbukaan informasi memang mengkhawatirkan. Keadaan yang tercipta justru kebebasan berpendapat yang bablas. Orang orang seakan tidak beretika, asal berpendapat tanpa mengecek kebenaran suatu masalah sudah ikut menyebarkannya hanya didasari perasaan suka atau sedang berpihak ke pihak tertentu.

Tetapi itu adalah proses. Sama ketika pemerintah memberikan daerah keleluasaan dengan otonomi tersendiri. Para kepala daerah malah mengeksplorasi sumber daya  yang dimiliki oleh daerahnya.

Sebenarnya ada yang kita lupa. Proses pengelolaan itu sangat penting. Bukan sekadar hak yang diberikan. Ketika pak Arif membuka diri untuk mencari dan menerima informasi dari pihak yang berbeda kemudian menimbang-nimbang informasi tersebut termasuk resiko resikonya, dia sedang melakukan proses pengelolaan.

Kegagalan beberapa daerah untuk mengelola sumber daya daerahnya bukan merupakan kesalahan dari keleluasaan yang diberikan tetapi memang butuh waktu untuk dewasa. Kewenangan yang sekarang ditarik kembali ke propinsi mudah-mudahan dalam rangka pengawasan pengelolaan bukan sekadar berpindah kekuasaan. Karena intinya bukan siapa tetapi proses yang dalam pengawasan yang benar.

Blokir informasi juga merupakan model keleluasaan yang dikebiri. Padahal untuk bisa mahir bersepeda harus bisa merasakan jatuh dulu. Pemerintah cukup mengawasi dan memberikan aturan dimana kita boleh merasakan  jatuhnya agar tidak berakibat fatal. Jika pak Arif tidak diberikan keleluasaan mencari informasi berimbang, saya kuatir jika ada yang memprovokasi saya adalah target yang terdekat yang bisa diserang.
