“Ummi, sakikka…”, dengan suara memelas dan logat khas Makassarnya suara Adek di telepon sungguh membuat hati saya melemah. Tetapi saya tidak ingin menampakkannya. Memang berat tidak bersama anak-anak di saat seperti ini. Tetapi saya selalu berpikir untuk menguatkannya. Ya.. kekuatan yang harusnya bukan dari orang tua atau orang lain tetapi dari diri sendiri.

“Gak apa apa adek, sakit itu proses tubuh kita untuk menjadi lebih kuat” Sejenak saya terdiam untuk memilih kata yang pas agar dia bisa yakin. “Sama kan kalau orang yang bertarung, semakin banyak lawannya dia semakin kuat dan tau cara menghadapinya”, fiuh.. akhirnya saya temukan contoh kisah untuk bisa membuatnya paham.

“Tapi ummi,… kerongkongan ku sakit kalau menelan, kenapa bisa begitu?” Saya langsung kepikiran, demam yang dirasakan pasti karena radang tenggorokan yang dirasakan sakit itu. “Hmm… virusnya sudah menyerang tubuh adek, jadi adek harus melawannya. Masih ingat cara ummi kalau lagi demam kan, minum air putih yang banyak dan istirahat tidur. Nanti jika tiga hari demamnya tidak turun, berarti virusnya menang dari tubuh adek, kita harus bantu dengan obat supaya virusnya mati.” Saya mengatakan itu sambil berpikir kira-kira bagaimana caranya membawanya ke dokter. Abinya sedang dalam masa khuruj* 4 bulan yang belum selesai dan belum bisa di hubungi. “HP abi rusak ummi”, begitu adek menjelaskan ketika saya bilang kenapa abinya sulit untuk dihubungi.

Selama adek sakit ini otomatis saya terus memantau keadaannya, melalui ustadz di pondoknya dan melalui instant messenger juga. Gambar-gambar adek yang sedang sakit selalu saja membuat saya ingin ke sana dan memeluknya walaupun kata-kata penghiburan ustadznya yang mengatakan dia baik-baik saja sedikit membantu untuk menghibur saya.

“Bu, maaf Amdan dijemput oleh temannya abinya yang di bengkel.” Sejenak saya terdiam, berpikir… Saya sebagai ibu harusnya yang berada di samping dia, merawatnya, membuatnya nyaman dan mendampingi dia. Tetapi bagaimana caranya? Sempat terbersit rasa tak senang namun saya segera menepisnya. Bukannya itu salah satu bentuk pertolongan dari kekawatiran saya tadi? Bagaimana cara membawa dia ke dokter.

Saya yakin pertolongan itu bisa datang dari mana saja, tetapi kadang ego kita yang menghalanginya. Dan lupa “siapa” sebenarnya yang menolong. Ustadnya mungkin merasa tidak enak dengan mengizinkan adek dijemput oleh mereka diutarakan dengan maaf sebagai pilihan kata pertamanya, dan untuk menenangkannya saya cuma menjawab, “Alhamdulillah, pertolongan Allah datang dari mana dan siapa saja”. Kalimat yang sama, yang saya harapkan bisa dipahami oleh adek nantinya. Bukan abi, bukan ummi, bukan ustadz dan bukan teman-teman abinya yang menolong, tetapi Sang Pencipta yang menunjukkan kasih sayangnya melalui semua orang.
