Keseharian saya sebagai pegawai membuat saya harus maksimal dalam berpenampilan. Selain untuk menambah kepercayaan diri, tampil cantik dan menarik juga merupakan penghargaan kita kepada orang lain yang kita temui.

Pengalaman bekerja di hotel membuat saya harus berpenampilan cantik dan rapih, apalagi saya ditempatkan di business center, tempat para tamu hotel yang  jika membutuhkan layanan administrasi. Kebiasaan “dandan” akhirnya berlanjut dari sekarang. Sebelumnya saya tidak terlalu memperhatikan hal itu, yang penting nyaman saja, pikirku. Namun lama kelamaan saya merasa terasing dari lingkungan kerja saya. Apalagi teman-teman berpenampilan lumayan “berlebihan” menurutku dengan warna warni yang penuh di wajah.

Karena kesadaran akan kebutuhan untuk tampil menarik saya akhirnya belajar sendiri. Mencoba mencari referensi dari teman-teman dari bacaan bahkan sangat terpengaruh oleh iklan. Merk kosmetik yang saya miliki mulai dari merk lokal sampai luar negeri, tapi saya tidak pernah merasa cocok.

Saya butuh kepuasan untuk bisa tampil lebih percaya diri. Saya takut melihat refleksi saya seperti teman-teman yang lain yang (maaf) kadang seperti menggunakan topeng. Saya mendapatkan kesulitan untuk mendapatkan kosmetik yang bagus dan pas untuk diri saya. Apalagi sejak saya mulai hati-hati dengan informasi banyaknya kosmetik yang dibuat dari bahan-bahan yang tidak halal. Sebagai seorang mualaf saya tetap berusaha belajar sedikit demi sedikit untuk mengikuti syariat agama yang saya anut.

Beruntungnya saya akhirnya membaca iklan tentang Wardah. Kosmetik yang tidak ragu menempatkan label halal pada kemasannya. Dengan keyakinan ini saya akhirnya mulai tertarik. Tetapi pertanyaan berikutnya, apakah akan cocok dengan kulit saya? Terus terang, kulit yang cenderung putih membuat saya kesulitan memilih warna untuk membuat penampilan tidak terlalu mencolok.

Sebagus apapun kosmetik yang kita miliki, tidak akan teraplikasi dengan baik jika kulit kita kasar dan kusam. Itu yang saya pikir perlu. Pure Olive Oil Wardah menjadi pilihan utama saya. Kulit sehat dengan olive oil sudah tidak diragukan lagi bahkan dalam Al-Quran pun disebutkan manfaat buah zaitun ini. Aplikasi sebelum tidur membuat saya bangun dengan kulit yang cerah. Dengan kulit yang kenyal dan halus, kosmetik pasti akan teraplikasi dengan maksimal juga.

Sebelum bekerja saya terbiasa untuk melakukan work out beberapa gerakan yoga yang membuat badan segar. Wajah itu menjadi cermin keadaan tubuh dan jiwa kita keseluruhan. Setelah mandi dan sebelum mengenakan pakaian lengkap saya akan memulai dengan ritual, make-up, dandanan versi mamie

Untuk mempertahankan kelembaban kulit saya menggunakan moisturizer, setelah wajah dibersihkan dengan facial foam saat mandi. Setelah agak meresap, saya mengaplikasikan Luminous Liquid Foundation, saya tidak memilih cream karena jenis kulit saya yang cenderung kering. Penggunaan foundation sangat penting untuk kulit muka agar terlihat bersih, menutup noda-noda hitam dan pori-pori yang kadang membuat tampilan muka kurang cerah. Baluran bedak di atas foundation membuat wajah tidak terlalu mengkilap, membuat terlihat lebih natural. Jika dasar make up sudah memuaskan tinggal menambahkan warna-warna natural yang tidak terlalu mencolok untuk dandanan sehari hari.

Yang penting lagi adalah alis. Alis bagaikan bingkai wajah. Jika dirapikan dan dibuat agak tegas akan menutupi kekurangan-kekurangan pada wajah, tetapi jangan berlebihan karena bisa jadi membuat tidak enak dipandang. Setelah itu mata. Mata saya yang agak sipit membuat saya harus memberi warna untuk lebih tegas. Saya setiap hari warna tua sebagai eye shadow, dan yang pasti tidak ketinggalan eyeliner dan maskara hitam. Karena terlalu riskan bermain warna gelap di atas kulit terang, saya akhirnya mengaplikasikannya seperlunya saja.

Untuk lipstik dan blush on, Wardah memiliki koleksi yang banyak. Saya hanya menyesuaikan dengan warna baju yang saya gunakan saat itu. Warna lipstik Wardah memang cenderung terang, untuk aplikasinya saya memakainya tipis saja. Begitupun dengan blush on, saya tidak ingin wajah saya penuh tertutup oleh warna karena kesannya akan berat.

Setiap hari saya melewatkan sekitar lima belas menit untuk dandanan sederhana ini, dan dengan Wardah ini bisa bertahan sampai saya kembali dari kantor. Saya cukup menambahkan di saat-saat tertentu untuk lipstik dan blush on, apalagi jika habis sholat. Jadi lebih segar lahir dan bathin.

Yang paling utama dari keseharian ini adalah membersihkan kulit. Polusi dan debu membuat kulit sulit untuk regenerasi. Paket pembersih, cleanser dan toner sangat penting digunakan sebelum tidur. Saat tidur saat terpenting menjaga kesehatan kulit, tidak akan maksimal jika kita membiarkan kotoran dan debu menempel pada kulit wajah.

Demikian keseharian saya, di usia saya yang sudah di atas 40 tahun kulit saya, alhamdulillah masih bisa membuat saya tetap percaya diri dalam pergaulan dalam pekerjaan.
