Mungkin profesi terakhir dalam impian saya adalah jadi guru. Saya selalu membayangkan masa tua, jika diberi umur panjang, saya akan tinggal di desa nelayan dan mengajar anak-anak di sana semua ilmu yang saya miliki.

Saya selalu yakin, bahwa ada kecenderungan dalam diri yang menjadi daya tarik kesempatan-kesempatan menuju ke arah itu. Salah satu alasan kenapa kita diminta untuk menetapkan impian.

Hari Sabtu lalu, dengan ajakan Dinda rekan kantor, saya akhirnya menjejakkan kaki di Ancol. Tempat dilaksanakannya Festival Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar. Walaupun saya sedikit keliru dengan jadwal, tetapi saya bisa tiba di tempat hampir bersamaan dengan Dinda.

Dari halte busway, menurut petugas di sana ecopark lumayan jauh. Karena kuatir telat akhirnya saya naik ojek. Ada perasaan beruntung karena keberadaan mereka sangat membantu. Tetapi begitu tiba di Ecopark, rasanya ada sedikit sesal karena bagi saya jaraknya tidak terlalu jauh. Hampir sama seperti dari kosan ke kantor.

Terkesima saya melihat jumlah peserta Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar yang bejibun. Dalam hati saya kagum dengan penyelenggara yang mampu menghimpun para relawan kerja bakti ini. Bukan cuma meluangkan waktu dan tenaga. Biaya untuk ikut di acara ini pun ada, Rp. 45.000,-

Keinginan untuk melihat anak-anak Indonesia yang cerdas dan merata di seluruh nusantara sepertinya ada di kebanyakan hati kita. Antusias tergambar jelas.

Dari membuat peraga sains, kartupedia, keping pedia, surat semangat, bahkan hanya untuk membungkus bingkisan buku yang akan dikirim ke pelosok negeri, semua stand terisi penuh. Untuk bisa membantupun harus antri.

Keinginan berbagi ini begitu besar. Saya pribadi merasa tidak banyak yang bisa saya hasilkan untuk mereka. Tetapi ada kepuasan tersendiri, kebahagiaan yang menyeruak dalam hati.

Dan ini semakin memperkuat keinginan saya akan cita-cita masa akan datang. Semoga niatan ini tercapai. Saya akan memelihara impian ini agar mengundang kesempatan-kesempatan berikutnya lagi.
