Everest memang adalah titik tertinggi dari daratan yang ada di dunia. Tinggi gunung ini adalah sekitar 8.850 meter, walaupun ini masih menjadi perdebatan antar negara dimana kaki kaki everest berada. Perbedaan pendapat ini menurut para ahli juga dimungkinkan karena puncak everest yang terus bertambah seiring dengan perubahan kontur bumi.

Apalagi di gunung, puncak pun kelihatan dekat tetapi usaha untuk mencapai ke sana berlipat ganda dari keadaan biasa.
Hidup pun demikian, kadang ada ambisi yang membuat kita buta akan keadaan yang sebenarnya. Kerja sama dengan logika dan orang-orang yang punya pengalaman terhadap sesuatu sangat berharga. Tapi apakah kita masing masing memiliki puncak kehidupan?
Saya memilih tidak. Saya tidak ingin merasakan kemenangan atau meraih puncak. Jika itu terjadi sama saja melihat para pendaki itu kehilangan tenaga dan semangat untuk kembali. Mungkin karena kembali ke kehidupan tidak semenarik melihat puncak everest lagi. Highest point sudah tertaklukkan, lalu apa lagi?
