Bersaing itu Lumrah

Motivasi

Kekawatiran tentang pekerja dari luar sudah mulai terasa di kalangan pekerja lokal di Indonesia. Hampir semua berpikir, pasti kita tidak kebagian tempat lagi untuk bekerja. Orang-orang asing yang datang itu mengambil rejeki  kita, mengambil piring nasi kita.

Sayangnya hanya sedikit yang melihat ini sebagai peluang. Peluang untuk menjadi lebih baik dan meningkatkan daya saing. Tapi kira-kira apa yang kita miliki? Payung hukum? Berlindung kepada pemerintah?

Menurut saya sepatutnya kita sendiri menyadari bahwa dengan semakin banyak persaingan semakin memacu kita untuk bisa bekerja lebih baik.  Kita tidaklah perlu mendesak pemerintah untuk membatasi orang-orang asing yang masuk untuk bekerja dikarenakan berlakunya pasar tunggal yang disepakati oleh negara negara ASEAN yang akan berlangsung akhir tahun 2015 ini. Tetapi desakan kepada pemerintah yang harus kita perjuangkan adalah memberikan kesempatan seluas luasnya dan mendukung peningkatan sumber daya manusia Indonesia. Dari pendidikan umum, keterampilan dan lain lain.

Bersaing itu sudah lumrah, tidak perlu kita seperti orang manja. Pemerintah tidak akan mampu mengatur pengusaha yang akan memilih sumberdaya yang terbaik untuk perusahaannya. Jika campur tangan pemerintah terhadap para pengusaha dilakukan, jangan salahkan kalau mereka memilih tempat lain untuk bisa berinvestasi.

Para pemilik perusahaan pasti berusaha untuk memilih sumber daya yang terbaik. Etika dan ethos kerja menjadi utama. Jika sampai pekerjanya hanya bermodalkan ancaman boikot saat bekerja, para pengusaha pasti berpikir untuk mencari alternatif lain, salah satunya dengan menggunakan orang asing.

Ancaman yang nyata pada perusahaan adalah dengan memberikan kinerja yang terbaik saat bekerja. Dengan demikian apa yang dituntut pun akan wajar jika terjadi ketidak adilan dalam manajemen perusahaan. Tetapi jika memang itu terjadi pada suatu perusahaan, jangan kuatir, dengan kinerja yang dimiliki pastilah secara pribadi kita punya daya saing untuk di perusahaan perusahaan yang lain.

Berhentilah berpikir bahwa kita akan kuat dengan berlindung kepada pihak lain, cuma satu jalan, tingkatkan potensi diri dan mari bersaing. Jika kita berharap pemerintah yang melindungi, sama saja dengan kita tidak punya keberanian untuk bertarung.
