Saya seharusnya merasa bersyukur, akhirnya bisa berkunjung ke Sinjai. Kabupaten yang terletak di sebelah timur Sulawesi Selatan. Sinjai harusnya jadi daerah yang spesial buat saya. Selama ini saya cuma mendengar dan membayangkan keadaan kota kabupaten ini dari ibu saya saja. Nenek dari ibu saya memang berasal dari Sinjai, tepatnya daerah Balangnipa. Seorang yang katanya terlahir bersama biawak. Zaman itu pasti lazim dengan kisah-kisah seperti itu.

Saya berkunjung ke Sinjai dengan tujuan menghadiri Indonesia Linux Conference. Kumpul-kumpul para simpatisan operating sistem linux dan aplikasi open source di Indonesia. Berangkat dari terminal Malengkeri, rute yang dilalui olehย angkutan umum ini memutar ke arah selatan, melalui kabupaten Gowa, Takalar, Jeneponto, dan Bulukumba. Waktu yang kami habiskan dalam perjalanan ini adalah 6 jam. Walaupun memutar jalan yang ditempuh tidak terlalu berliku. Kecuali ada beberapa berbaikan jalan di perbatasan Bulukumba dan Sinjai.

Berangkat jam 10 pagi kami akhirnya tiba di Sinjai pukul 4 sore. Bertepatan dengan berakhirnya acara seminar sehari yang akan dilanjutkan dengan Pertemuan KPLI (Kelompok Pengguna Linux Indonesia) dari berbagai daerah seluruh Indonesia.

Bertempat di pulau Sembilan. Sembilan pulau yang berkumpul di sisi timur pantai Sinjai. Salah satunya menjadi tempat pertemuan itu. Dengan mengendarai speed boat sekitar 20 menit kami akhirnya tiba di desa nelayan dan mengikuti kegiatan puncak ILC 2014 ini.

Memang saya merasa kurang maksimal, karena sebagian teman-teman harus pulang dan tidak mengikuti meeting ini. Tapi yang membuat saya antusias adalah laporan dari teman-teman berbagai daerah yang masih terus giat bergerak untuk sosialisasi penggunaan open source. Kegiatan mereka memang tidak dipromosikan besar-besaran tidak megah, tetapi apa yang mereka lakukan adalah memberikan kontribusi yang nyata pada penyebaran penggunaan open source. Itulah komunitas.

Karena waktu yang terbatas saya tidak bisa menjelajah atau ber-napak tilas di kota kelahiran nenek buyut saya. Saya pun yakin ibu saya sudah lupa dengan keadaan di kota itu. Tetapi di dalam tubuh saya membawa bagian dari daerah ini.

Segala kekurangan semoga menjadi pelajaran untuk yang berikutnya. Begitulah harapan saya untuk ILC tahun berikutnya yang akan diadakan di Tegal.

Yang berkesan adalah kulinernya. Kami sempat diantar oleh @irhapunya dan enal (Relawan TIK) dijamu di TPI Lappa. Tempat Pelelangan Ikan dimana kumpulan orang masih antusias mendengar besaran rupiah yang disebutkan meningkat bertahap seiring persetujuan dari orang yang ingin membeli. Benar-benar transaksi lelang. Melihat ikan-ikan yang diangkut turun dari perahu. Yang pasti daging putih, gurih dan manis tak terlewatkan dikecap oleh lidah yang selama ini merindukan kesegaran itu.

Perjalanan pulang melalui rute yang lain, daerah Camba. Melalui pegunungan yang berliku dan saya beruntung mengadakan perjalanan di malam hari sehingga saya tidak perlu merasa takut dengan jurang yang mungkin ada di sisi kiri dan kanan jalan. Lebih cepat dari jalur selatan. Sekitar 5 jam perjalanan saja. Sempat melambat juga diakibatkan padatnya kendaraan terutama truk yang lalu lalang di jalur tersebut.

Saya masih berharap bisa berkunjung ke Sinjai lagi, berharap benar-benar bisa merasakan kedekatan dalam diri saya.
