“Mbak, sampahnya… Gak tau yah mungkin karena mbak suka kucing, ini sampah selalu diberantakin ngotorin pintu kamar saya!”

Ucapan judes saya terima dari tetangga kamar kosan. Usia mudanya tidak membuat dia berbicara sedikit lebih halus ke saya. Mungkin dia pikir saya juga seumuran seperti dia ;).

Awalnya saya sebenarnya gak suka sama cewek yang berambut sebahu ini.  Sewaktu pertama menempati kamar, dengan tanpa segan-segan berjalan di depan pintu dan menatap masuk ke kamar. Namanya kos kosan semuanya memang langsung tampak. Tetapi sepertinya saya dan orang-orang lain yang lewat di depan kamar kos orang lain tidak sampai memandang ke dalam, seperti mencari tahu.

Kesenangan saya terhadap kucing memang bukan tahapan freak. Cuma ada binatang yang menemani itu benar-benar membantu di saat kesepian. Sayangnya kucing memang kucing kampung, kemudian mereka bergerilya untuk mencari makan saat malam. Tempat sampah di depan kamar yang menjadi incaran. Tidak mungkin lah kita mengharapkan mereka membongkar dengan rapih. Hasil bongkaran itu lah yang membuat saya ditegur malam malam sama cewek yang memang jutek kelihatannya.

Tapi sayamemang salah, membuang sampah dimana kemungkinannya dibongkar oleh si kucing-kucing malam. Akhirnya tanpa banyak ngomong saya membersihkan bekas-bekas sampah yang ada di depan pintunya. Juga memindahkan tempat sampah agar supaya jika terbongkar sekali pun tidak merugikan tetangga yang manis ini.

Karena sudah merasa bersalah saya akhirnya membersihkan dengan mengepel juga lantai di depan kamar kosannya. Sementara saya mengepel, dia dengan mantapnya menutup pintu di depanku. Sabar..sabar.. kata-kata ini yang berulang terus dalam diri saya. Yang pasti saya harus bertanggung jawab atas perbuatan (kucing) saya. Saya lanjut membersihkannya dengan tenang.

Interaksi antar tetangga memang untung-untungan. Bisa saja kita dapat tetangga yang sopan. Rupanya saya harus mengalami bertemu dengan tetangga yang kurang berkenan di hati juga. Tapi biarlah, saya  juga tidak ingin marah-marah toh karena saya tahu saya salah. Saya cuma berharap semoga hatinya sedikit dilembutkan, tidak jutek supaya hidupnya tidak terasa berat. Jika begitu kan dia bisa seperti saya, masih tetap dianggap muda 😉
