Baru-baru ini Anging Mammiri mendapat undangan untuk ikut dalam Press And Marine Excursion di Kepulauan Spermonde tanggal 18 hingga 20 Mei 2012 nanti. Kegiatan yang pasti menarik untuk saya penyuka laut dan sangat kebetulan saya berencana pulang ke Makassar di tanggal tersebut.

Karena jatah untuk komunitas blogger cuma untuk 2 orang, akhirnya Ipul Dg. Gassing selaku ketua komunitas Anging Mammiri membuka pendaftaran bagi yang ingin ikut.

nah, mekanisme pemilihan 2 orang yg berhak mewakili AM adalah sebagai berikut :
karena yang diundang adalah blogger dalam kapasitas sebagai blogger, maka saya akan menghitung berapa jumlah postingan dalam kurun waktu 10 Maret 2012 s/d 10 Mei 2012. saya kira ini mekanisme yg fair agar kita tahu blogger mana saja yg memang konsisten menulis minimal dalam 2 bulan terakhir karena toh timbal balik dari acara ini diharapkan blogger undangan akan menulis tentang perjalanan ini

Mekanisme ini diumumkan setelah semuanya mendaftar dan ini fair menurutku, apalagi memang tugas yang akan diemban oleh siapapun yang ikut itu adalah menulis. Hasil perhitungan jumlah postingan membuat saya dan Iqko terpilih untuk mendapatkan kesempatan ini.

Walaupun dengan kesan bercanda Daeng Nuntung, sempat membuat pernyataan-pernyataan di milis yang meragukan kenyataan kenapa saya bisa menulis sebanyak itu. Dia sama sekali tidak salah, saya pun sangat terkejut dengan “produktifitas” yang tidak saya sadari. Dalam kurun waktu tersebut tercatat saya memiliki 19 postingan, kurang 1 postingan saja saya sudah menyamai Iqko

Akhirnya saya berpikir kembali, kira-kira apa yang menyebabkan saya serajin ini? dan berikut alasannya:

1. Motivasi

a. domain dan hosting pribadi

Ini kenyataan, sejak saya memiliki blog dengan domain dan hosting sendiri saya semakin terpacu untuk menulis. Kalau bisa diumpamakan seperti rumah, akan beda rasanya mengurus rumah sewaan dibanding rumah sendiri. Saya merasa punya rumah yang harus saya benahi setiap hari dan mengisinya dengan hal-hal yang berguna.

b. pengalaman

Sejak di Jakarta saya lebih banyak waktu untuk mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan selain bekerja. Setiap kejadian pasti meninggalkan kesan pada diri kita, saya tidak mau kehilangan kesan itu sehingga saya menulisnya. Selain kegiatan, karena waktu lebih banyak sendiri banyak juga pemikiran-pemikiran yang timbul, dengan menulis saya berharap bisa mereview nya di lain waktu.

c. belajar

Cara menulis saya masih sering dikritik oleh beberapa teman, tetapi terus terang itu membuat saya terpacu untuk belajar. Bahkan saya tidak keberatan merogoh kocek untuk membiayai pelatihan penulisan karena saya tahu dengan tetap belajar maka pengetahuan kita akan bertambah. Saya ingin ada perubahan di setiap tulisan saya, perubahan yang menuju ke hal yang lebih baik tentunya.

d. terus dan terus menulis

Terus terang kadang kritik itu membuat kita menjadi down, mungkin karena kita merasa kita sudah sangat maksimal berusaha untuk menulis yang bagus dan disukai orang. Nah, untuk yang ini motivasinya saya ubah sedikit. Saya tidak menulis untuk orang lain, saya menulis untuk diri saya, membiarkannya mengalir tanpa perlu berpikir tentang kesan orang lain terhadap tulisan saya. Tujuan saya sederhana, berbagi.

2. Fasilitas

Saya beruntung bisa memanfaatkan blackberry bukan hanya sekadar untuk chating. Di setiap keadaan ketika ide tulisan muncul saya pasti akan menekan shortcut tombol D  untuk bisa langsung ke menu notes. Di situlah saya menuangkan ide, kata-kata kunci bahkan saking asiknya saya bisa mengetik satu tulisan sementara saya di angkot atau bahkan di boncengan tukang ojek.

Awalnya kadang saya menggerutu, begitu sampai di tempat kost signal langsung drop. Tinggal seorang diri dengan tanpa akses internet itu menyiksa! Benarkah? Ternyata semua memang ada hikmahnya. Karena saya menolak untuk nonton tv akhirnya saya kadang di kamar sendirian dan dengan itu otomatis waktu luang saya jadi banyak. Waktu luang disebabkan oleh keadaan, membuat saya mencari apa yang bisa saya lakukan. Tidak terasa 2 jempol ini pun menemani saya bekerjasama untuk membuat tulisan, dan ini sangat membantu untuk saya bisa tertidur karena letih.

Sebanyak apapun tulisan jika masih sebagai draft tetap saja belum merupakan tulisan. Terus terang keadaan kantor juga membuat saya bisa lebih leluasa mengakses internet. Posting blog, blog walking dan membaca referensi-referensi lebih banyak saya lakukan saat saya menunggu waktu untuk pulang. Daripada berdiri letih menunggu angkot yang penuh sesak, mending waktu tersebut dihabiskan dengan menulis, mengedit tulisan, atau membaca tulisan orang-orang yang bisa menambah pengetahuan.

Yah, bagaimana pun proses untuk bisa ikut kegiatan Press And Marine Excursion di Kepulauan Spermonde ini, hal yang paling membuatku berkesan adalah ternyata saya BISA menulis. Dan saya yakin teman-teman pun bisa demikian. Sayang jika sesuatu yang kita miliki tidak kita bagikan. Semoga bermanfaat.
