Sulawesi Selatan Harusnya Jadi Surga Wisata

Masih ingatkah kita tentang Tana Toraja? Daerah yang belasan tahun lalu menjadi target wisata yang diminati di Indonesia setelah Bali. Bagaimana dengan Lejja? Permandian air panas yang ada di Soppeng? Atau Tanjung Bira, pantai indah berpasir putih di selatan Sulawesi dan tentu saja Takabonerate, taman wisata yang luar bisa menawan di pulau Selayar.

Sulawesi Selatan bukanlah daerah yang kering akan obyek wisata. Keindahan alam, ragam budaya, kekayaan kuliner lokal. Semua ada di sini. Mamun kenapa gaung kampanye Visit South Sulawesi saja yang terdengar bertebaran sementara wisatawan tidak terlihat membludak? Apa ada yang keliru?

Potensi Wisata Sulawesi Selatan

Selain budaya yang unik, Sulawesi Selatan yang terdiri dari 4 etnis ini memang kaya potensi wisata. Masing-masing etnis berbeda dalam bahasa, pakaian, tarian dan lain-lain. Keragaman ini pastilah sangat menarik, karena banyak hal yang bisa dilihat, dinikmati dan dipelajari dalam sekali kunjungan saja.
Itu belum termasuk pemandangan alam. Dari pegunungan yang sejuk seperti Malino, yang terletak di kaki Gunung Bawakaraeng, hingga jejeran pulau2 di Selat Makassar. Semua menjadi bukti kebesaran Tuhan yang sangat menarik untuk dikunjungi.

Dan siapa pula yang tidak kenal dengan Coto Makassar, Konro dan semacamnya? Makanan khas ini pun sudah menjadi komoditi wisata. Seafood dengan hasil laut yang segar dan cemilan-cemilan lainnya juga menjadi makanan yang membuat penasaran orang-orang yang berkunjung ke kota ini.

Tetapi dari keragaman kekayaan budaya dan obyek wisata hal yang paling menonjol adalah wisata laut. Kekayaan biota laut dengan pulau-pulau berpasir putih menjadi tempat yang sangat tepat untuk berlibur.

Lalu kenapa bidang pariwisata yang seharusnya menjadi salah satu sumber pendapatan daerah ini seperti tertidur saja?

1. Mahal
Untuk mencapai tempat-tempat wisata masih tergolong mahal. Mari membandingkannya dengan promosi  daerah lain seperti Wakatobi. Biaya keberangkatan dari kota Makassar yang merupakan paket tour dari salah satu travel agent, total biaya Pulang Pergi sebesar Rp. 2.000.000,- dan ini adalah akomodasi dan transportasi selama 3 hari 2 malam.

Bandingkan dengan daerah wisata yang sepadan di Sulawesi Selatan, dalam hal ini adalah Taka Bonerate. Karena jarang sekali kita mendengar promosi travel yang membuat paket tour untuk berkunjung ke sana, sehingga orang-orang harus berusaha sendiri. Biaya untuk mengunjungi Taka Bonerate dari kota Makassar bisa berkisar antara Rp. 3.600.000,- sekali jalan.
Perbandingan yang lumayan bukan? Memang terlihat sangat mahal, tapi sebenarnya masalah utama bukan pada harga, tapi pada cara pemerintah daerah mengemas potensinya hingga bisa menjadi murah dan terjangkau.

Untuk solusi biaya murah seharusnya pemerintah mengajak para pengusaha travel untuk membuat paket-paket tour dalam wilayah Sulawesi Selatan, bukan hanya paket-paket tour luar negeri yang membuat kita melupakan budaya dan merasa asing dengan kampung halaman sendiri. Bila mau bersusah payah sedikit, pemerintah daerah harusnya mau memberi insentif dan reward bagi travel agent lokal yang mau membantu mempromosikan potensi wisata Sulawesi Selatan.

2. Susah terjangkau dan tidak terfasilitasi dengan baik
Masih mengambil perbandingan obyek yang sama yaitu Wakatobi dan Taka Bonerate. Keduanya  adalah tempat yang susah untuk dijangkau. Tetapi oleh karena pemerintah setempat benar-benar konsisten dengan  promosi wisata yang gencar dilakukan dan didukung oleh transportasi yang selalu tersedia maka Wakatobi jadi relatif lebih gampang dijangkau. Imbasnya, wisatawan makin penasaran dan kemudian meluangkan waktu dan biaya untuk berkunjung ke sana.

untuk berkunjung ke Wakatobi bisa dengan menggunakan pesawat terbang atau pilihan lain dengan menggunakan kapal laut yang cuma semalam jika berangkat tari kota Bau-Bau, Kabupaten Buton. Ada pilihan untuk akses bagi para pengunjung.
Sementara untuk ke Taka Bonerate, kita seperti harus berjuang sendiri mendapatkan cara bagaimana untuk bisa sampai ke sana. Penerbangan ke kota Benteng, Selayar memang sudah tersedia dari kota Makassar tapi dari kota Benteng ke kawasan Taka Bonerate, akses masih sangat sulit dan mahal.

Keseriusan pemerintah daerah Sulawesi Selatan  harusnya tertuang dari niat dan dimulai  dari program-program kecil  saja dulu yang difasilitasi dengan konsisten dan  berlanjut terus menerus. Hal itu akan lebih baik  dibanding membuat satu event yang besar dan gaungnya cuma sekali setelah itu hilang

3. Tidak dirawat dengan maksimal
Sudah menjadi hal yang jamak di negeri ini, kemurnian suatu kawasan akan perlahan-lahan dikotori seiring semakin banyaknya orang yang berkunjung ke tempat tersebut termasuk kerusakan alam oleh manusia. Oleh karena itu selain promosi wisata dengan pengusaha-pengusaha travel, pemerintah sebaiknya merangkul juga para pemerhati lingkungan.
Tujuannya agar segala sumber daya itu mampu bertahan dan tidak dirusak oleh manusia. Jika memungkinkan promosi wisata akan lebih bagus diselaraskan dengan promosi lingkungan. Karena di saat sekarang promosi lingkungan pun sudah merupakan strategi jitu untuk membuat sebuah produk tersebut laku. Melibatkan pihak-pihak yang terkait adalah cara yang tepat untuk membuat simbiosis mutual, dan yang pasti diperlukan perhatian yang khusus dari pemerintah sebagai kontrol sehingga dapat berjalan dalam koridornya masing-masing

4. Dibutuhkan keterlibatan semua pihak
Visit South Sulawesi 2012, ini bisa saja menjadi sekedar jargon saja tanpa hasil yang significant. Memang terlihat pembenahan-pembenahan fisik pada beberapa tujuan-tujuan wisata, tetapi sekali lagi jika tidak melibatkan unsur-unsur terkait untuk satu tujuan, program ini kemungkinan tidak akan berhasil maksimal.

Pengembangan promosi wisata di Sulawesi Selatan memang masih terkesan jalan di tempat. Belum semua pihak merasa dilibatkan. Sebagai contoh penduduk lokal di sekitar kawasan wisata, belum semua dilibatkan secara aktif sehingga rasa memiliki dari penduduk setempat belum sepenuhnya tumbuh.

Selain peranan aktif dari warga lokal, pemerintah daerah juga seharusnya mulai melirik para penggiat sosial media. Saat ini informasi lewat jalur sosial media yang memanfaatkan medium internet sudah sangat pesat, dan itu yang belum ditangkap dengan baik oleh pemerintah daerah Sulawesi Selatan.

Selain membangun sebuah situs web yang lengkap tentang potensi wisata Sulawesi Selatan, pemerintah daerah seharusnya menggunakan para penggiat social media sebagai buzzer yang ikut mempromosikan potensi wisata lokal.

Undang para blogger, pengguna facebook dan twitter untuk berkunjung ke tempat-tempat wisata yang ada di Sulawesi Selatan. Manfaatkan jaringan yang mereka punyai sebagai medium untuk mengangkat nama Sulawesi Selatan. Dari sana diharapkan ada feedback dari para pembaca blog dan follower di twitter tentang potensi wisata Sulawesi Selatan. Sebuah langkah yang efektif dengan biaya yang tidak terlalu besar.

Sulawesi Selatan adalah satu wilayah dalam negeri indah bernama Indonesia. Seperti wilayah lainnya, Sulawesi Selatan juga punya banyak potensi yang begitu menggiurkan untuk digali dan dinikmati. Sayangnya karena Sulawesi Selatan belum digarap secara serius.

Bila serius dan konsisten, pemerintah daerah provinsi Sulawesi Selatan bisa menjadikan propinsi ini sebagai salah satu tujuan wisata terkemuka di Indonesia. Karena Sulawesi Selatan seharusnya bisa menjadi surga wisatawan.
